CenterState Bank Branch Brings Holiday Cheer to Underprivileged Children

DADE CITY, FL (December 2, 2011) CenterState Bank announces its Dade City Bank branch will serve as a sponsor to the teenage children of Florida Baptist’s Children’s Home, an organization that serves abused, neglected and orphaned children since 1904.  The Bank will host its third annual Christmas party on December 13, 2011, in the Dade City branch lobby for the older children of the Florida Baptist Children’s Home and present them with donated gifts.

“There are approximately 35 orphans this year that would not be getting gifts for Christmas with out the help of CenterState Bank employees, customers, friends and family.” says Bonnie Krummen, branch manager, CenterState Bank Dade City branch.

CenterState Bank Vice President Named Dade City Chamber Member of the Year

CenterState Bank Vice President Honored With Prestigious Community Award

LEESBURG, FL (October 25, 2011) – CenterState Bank announces its Leesburg branch vice president/commercial loan officer, Steve Knowles, has been honored with receiving the 2010-2011 President’s Award presented by Leesburg Partnership.  This prestigious award is given annually to a person who exhibits the strongest commitment to his or her community.

CenterState Banks, Inc. Announces Agreement to Purchase Federal Trust

DAVENPORT, FL (May 23, 2011) - CenterState Banks, Inc. (NASDAQ: CSFL) announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement with The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. to purchase Federal Trust Corporation and subsequently merge Federal Trust Bank into its lead subsidiary bank, CenterState Bank of Florida. This transaction is expected to close by the end of the year pending regulatory approval. CenterState is well-positioned for these acquisitions as a result of its strong financial and capital position. With the closing of this transaction, CenterState will assume all of the deposits (approximately $230 million) and purchase selected performing loans (totaling approximately $170 million) and other assets of Federal Trust Bank. CenterState will not pay a premium to assume the deposits and will receive a 27% discount on selected performing loans. CenterState also has the option to put back any purchased loan for up to one year after closing that becomes 30 days past due or becomes adversely classified by applicable regulatory standards.
